ABOUT US
How Our Journey Started
On 22nd February 2019, 'Pathshala' was founded by Nitin Babubhai Chauhan-student of Mechanical engineering at Government Engineering College Bharuch (GEC Bharuch). The organization was established with the will of students to participate in educating children in slums and serve for the society and the nation, as making people educated will ultimately accelerate our nation's growth. Team Pathshala - started with a team of 40 members ,that increased by the time. Work of 'Pathshala' is to spread awareness about education and literacy in slums and teach children to make them eligible to get admission in school and help them to get admission and start their schooling Inspite of having a good literacy rate,Bharuch district still has some areas where parents instead of sending their child to school prefer to let their child do labour and earn money. This is not due to unavailability of schools or people are so poor but root cause is lower mindset and thinking unawareness and giving more importance to earning money than to earn knowledge. Pathshala's team goes to such areas and convinces such parents to not to let their child go out for work but to have books in their hands. Not to ruin child's childhood. Our team also teaches such children for several days to give them very basic education and provide them notebooks and other stationary items and more needful things, also helps them to get admission in school This will help to increase literacy rate and end up child labour.
Our team works in slums to aware parents about the need of study and right to study. we teach basic education to such children and encourage them and their parents as well to send their child to school regularly.
Pathshala aims to let every child experience its right to education and to establish an educated society.
